A commercial battery is an energy storage system capable of storing large amounts of electricity. Commercial vehicle batteries are vehicle batteries with the higher Amperage per hour, CCA, and reserve capacity needed for larger vehicles like trucks and buses.

Truck batteries, like other commercial vehicle batteries and car batteries, last around 5 years – they have a limited lifespan. They may last longer if used under ideal conditions, but generally, vehicle batteries should be replaced after five years. Trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles are no exception.

Truck batteries are typically not deep cycle.  These types of batteries usually aren’t used in road vehicles because they supply a low amount of steady electricity, unlike conventional batteries. This makes them better suited to golf carts, boats, and electric vehicles than cars and trucks.
